No. 6 by Lucien Lelong was launched in 1950.  





Fragrance Composition:



So what does it smell like? It was described as a "spicy, floral bouquet"
  • Top notes: bergamot, orange blossom, nutmeg
  • Middle notes: rose, jasmine, ylang ylang, carnation, clove
  • Base notes: sandalwood, patchouli, oakmoss, ambergris, benzoin, labdanum, tonka bean, musk


Originally retailed for $9.00 for 2 ounces.


Harper's Bazaar - Volume 84, 1950:
"Straight from Paris, in plain brown wrappings and the simplest bottles he could find, come Lucien Lelong s latest perfumes — No. 6 is a spicy floral: No. 7, rich and worldly: both have been balanced and aged in the Lelong vats for years."


Fate of the Fragrance:

Discontinued, date unknown.
